David M. Handel

David received his Juris Doctor degree from Washington University School of Law in 2008 where he was a recipient of the Scholar in Law Award from 2005-2008. He served as a research assistant for his legal writing professor, Denise Field, as well as his legal research professor, Dorie Bertram. In 2007, he also worked as an intern/clerk with the Hon. Lisa Van Amburg, currently a justice on the Missouri Court of Appeals, while she served as a judge of the 22nd Judicial Circuit Court of Missouri. Prior to attending law school, David received his B.A. in History from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002.

David is integrally involved in the preparation of pleadings, declarations and financial documents on behalf of the firm’s clients, and is highly proficient in legal research and writing for family law and civil litigation matters. David regularly volunteers with a local legal aid organization, and has had the privilege of teaching Chapter 7 bankruptcy workshops and debt collection workshops to self-represented litigants. In this capacity, David is able to assist individuals on a one-on-one basis with family law issues, employee wage claims, and landlord/tenant disputes.
